Barton Park, Oregon For Family Camping Trip on Memorial Weekend

It was a beautiful day for a drive across the state from Elgin to Boring. We arrived at Barton Park and were thrilled with the wonderful group camping site that was waiting for us. It was large enough for our group of 30, with spaces for tents surrounding the main area. The large fire pit area was well kept and a great place to visit late into the night each night. There is a convenience store within a half mile of the park that has fuel as well as a deli.
They do close the gates at 10 p.m., so that is always something to be aware of whether you are heading to the park late, or have to leave from the park.

Insider Tip

The restroom at the group camp is not in service, so there is a quarter mile walk to the nearest bathroom.
